Priyanka Chopra will now be seen in 7 avataars

Seems multiple roles are in for Priyanka Chopra this season. While she becomes the first ever actress to portray 12 different roles in one flick in ‘Whats Your Rashee?’ she has yet another multiple role film awaiting for her. She, in most probability, will play the roles of 7 brides to seven different men in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next titled ‘7 Husbands’. She will have different get ups for each wife and the seven different actors for the role of husbands are yet to be finalized.

Priyanka has already worked with Vishal in ‘Kaminey’ and the director was so impressed with her dedication and devotion that he, without second thoughts, chose Priyanka as his heroine while scripting for 7 Husbands. Priyanka’s fabulous performance in her latest ‘Whats Your Rashee?’ also helped him make up his mind as Piggie Chops is getting rave reviews for the way she has carried off twelve different roles in the film.

‘7 husbands’ is still in the scripting process and is expected to go on floors next year.

Has Bollywood lost Mallika Sherawat to Hollywood?

Seems that Bollywood has lost its bombshell Mallika Sherawat to Hollywood completely for the babe is being seen more at Hollywood’s prestigious events than in Bollywood’s desi events. It has just been a few weeks when she was seen brushing shoulders with Hollywood’s who’s who on the red carpet for the Brad Pitt starrer ‘Inglourious Basterds’.

Now the sex siren has proudly announced on her Twitter page that she has been invited to the premiere of Jane Campion’s ‘Bright Star’ in Los Angeles. Mallika added on her twitter page that she adores Jane Campion’s critically acclaimed film ‘The Piano’.

For her desi fans she tweeted on to say that she plans to return to India very soon, but only for a few weeks it seems. Currently, she is keeping her fingers crossed for her maiden Hollywood venture, Hisss, which she revealed is in the editing stage and is set for release later this year.

Priyanka and Harman promote their film on Radio Mirchi

Cancerian Priyanka Chopra and Scorpion Harman Baweja visited the Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM studio to promote their upcoming flick, ‘Whats Your Rashee?’

The fans got to have a interactive session with the stars as the two shared anecdotes about the making of their latest movie with RJ Jeeturaj on Mumbai’s favourite show ‘Hi Mumbai’. They talked about their faith in astrology, their traits and star signs and everything about their rashee. They also praised the music of the film that has been given by composer Sohail Sen.

Talking about the film, Priyanka said, “It’s a comedy, all in all, a really funny story of an NRI Gujrati boy who comes to India and must find a bride in 10 days, and how his matrimonial ad receives responses from an astounding 160 girls!”

Not to mention here again that Piggie Chops plays twelve different characters in the film and when Harman was asked about whether or not the NRI’s character Yogesh Patel does marry eventually, the witty star replied, “Yes he does marry and I will even tell you who he marries…. he marries Priyanka’s character!”

The movie will hit the screens on September 25th, 2009.

Priyanka Chopra comes forward for a social cause

Bollywood stars have always been known for their association with social cause. Now, Priyanka Chopra does her bit by supporting the ”Save the Children” campaign which aims to provide quality education to eight million children living in conflict-affected areas. The campaign will also work in the area of providing, securing and protecting children’s rights to food, shelter, health care, freedom from violence, abuse and exploitation.

Priyanka has many other associations with social causes and she expressed her hope that the campaign would be able to spread awareness on how education can change the future of young children.

“Save the Children is associated with about 11 states in India. I hope at some point of time to be able to visit at all places where Save the Children works and see for myself how much help I can be of and also in every possible way create awareness about how important education is in our country,” said Priyanka Chopra to the reporters at a press conference to announce her association with Bvlgari Save the Children campaign in Mumbai.
